The fate of refugees and the concerns of locals are a predominant theme in public discourse. In communities, many motivated individuals are touched by the plight of refugees, the wounds of their origins, and the worries about their future. There is a wave of willingness to help, and especially after the terrorist attacks in France, there are significant fears and anxious questions about what all of this means for our future. The Bible tells stories of flight in an incredible variety and detail. It uncovers and preserves in them God's care, the trace of salvation that remains hidden for a long time but ultimately proves to be powerful for the future. Telling this experience and proclaiming this faith is the aim and theme of this volume. Thus, it gives space to the fate of refugees and the concerns of locals in various forms.
