Author: Ernst A. Ekker Ernst A. Ekker was born in 1937 and worked as an editor for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF), later also for American television stations. His work focused on children's theater, children's musicals, and children's opera. His books have been translated into many languages, and his plays have been performed internationally. Ekker's work has received several awards, including the Literature Prize of the City of Vienna and the Austrian State Prize for Children's and Youth Literature. He passed away on May 18, 1999. Illustrator: Doris Eisenburger Doris Eisenburger studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. She has always enjoyed drawing and painting. For the past 30 years, she has worked intensively as an illustrator for Annette Betz Verlag and, for the past few years, also as an author. She has illustrated more than 20 musical picture books. She lives with her family in Munich.
