Gottfried Honegger has shaped the changing perceptions of what art in architecture and public spaces should achieve over the past 50 years through numerous artistic interventions and public statements. To celebrate his 90th birthday in 2007, ETH Zurich dedicated an exhibition and a book to Gottfried Honegger, in which his works in public spaces are discussed in detail in relation to his cultural and political engagement and presented for the first time in the context of their reception.
