The perceiving and remembering self becomes a wandering seeker of traces and voices in the present, an earwitness at gentlemen's tables, a chronicler of a history from Vienna in the 1930s to the last battlefield of the Second World War near Berlin. The false fodder of worldviews remains present where the present is still opaque and connected to the past. Between the photorealistically sharp images of these poems, which find significance in the everyday small things, lie the place of one's own origin and discoveries in family history. Initially a blind spot, but as one moves through history and between places, the contours clarify in the three sections of false fodder, and the biographical perspective gains depth of field.
