Product details

For a long time, there was the belief that social insurance was unnecessary for agricultural matters. Everything required for rural life was produced independently: grain for bread, flax and sheep wool for clothing, wood for heating, herbs and healing ointments. Life was tough, and what could not be healed was left to its own devices, as doctors were too expensive. The first attempts to establish social insurance were rejected. It wasn't until 1950 that a significant change in mindset began, and more and more farmers voluntarily insured themselves with agricultural health insurance funds. As agricultural labor became increasingly rare, its value grew, leading to a higher demand for additional services. This book deals with the ongoing and persistent struggle to establish and maintain the essential services of social insurance.
