Gerhard Fritsch, born 1924 in Vienna, died 1969 in Vienna. After returning from the Second World War, he studied history and German studies. Publisher's editor, librarian, from 1958 freelance writer and literary critic. He received numerous literary prizes and published several volumes of poetry as well as the novels "Moos auf den Steinen" (1956) and "Fasching" (1967), posthumously "Katzenmusik" (Residenz, 1974). Klaus Kastberger, born 1963 in Gmunden, studied German and history in Vienna. From 1996-2015 he worked at the ÖNB's literary archive, and since 2015 he has been professor of modern German-language literature at the Franz Nabl Institute and director of the Literaturhaus Graz. Klaus Kastberger is currently a member of the Bachmann Prize jury. Stefan Alker-Windbichler, born in Vienna in 1980, studied German, journalism and theatre studies and is head of the Departmental Library of German, Dutch and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Vienna. He has researched and published extensively on Gerhard Fritsch.
