The first preliminary evaluation of the V. Church Membership Survey (KMU) of the EKD revealed, among other things, a dramatic loss of acceptance for the Protestant Church and Christian religion among the youngest group of respondents. This volume delves into this evaluation thesis: it reanalyzes the data, interprets it in relation to further youth-specific questions, relates the results to comparable studies from home and abroad, and draws religious educational conclusions.
