Product details

To this day, the Obersalzberg in Berchtesgaden remains restless. Each era leaves its mark on the mountain. The memories of the former house manager of Hitler's "Berghof" provide an interesting piece of the puzzle for understanding the events of that time. From 1935 to 1943, Herbert Döhring served as the house manager of the "Berghof." His role around Hitler's alpine refuge brought Döhring into direct contact with the most powerful men of the Third Reich. He describes his experiences and impressions of individuals from Hitler's circle candidly and without any distance. His keen nature made him a firsthand witness to strictly confidential military meetings. He was also closely involved in receptions for influential foreign statesmen and politicians. Döhring's unpublished handwritten notes are supplemented by statements.
