In this volume of the series on psychosocial health, Helmut Pauls and Michael Reicherts develop the concept of a Goal Achievement Analysis (ZEA). The concept is presented in a very detailed manner and supported by numerous examples. Starting from the demand for empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the consulting, supportive, or therapeutic measures employed by the funding bodies, a model is introduced that, on one hand, enables precise measurement of the current and target states, and on the other hand, is not solely committed to an expert model. Through participatory elements, the client can assess their situation and the degree of goal achievement in discourse with the professional. The authors demonstrate that currently, humanistic and process-oriented perspectives also influence the definition of goals and the measurement of goal achievement.
