In the summer of 1941, Elna from Sandviken embarks on a cycling trip to the Norwegian border with her pen pal from southern Sweden. The Daisy Sisters, as the girls call themselves after the American model, meet two Swedish soldiers, and the naive Elna, who cannot handle alcohol, becomes unintentionally pregnant.
