Product details
Based on a contact analysis of optically measured surface data, the mean, standard deviation, and spectrum of the friction coefficient can be determined. With these parameters, the friction coefficient can be modeled as a stochastic process that takes into account the surface characteristics. Subsequently, the influence of the stochastic friction coefficient on friction-induced vibrations is examined using the classical friction oscillator, for example, investigating whether a limit cycle exists.
