The material group of perovskites contains many important functional ceramics, which are characterized by outstanding electrical properties. However, in many applications there is a strong influence of the microstructure and therefore also of the grain growth. To model grain growth, knowledge of the parameters grain boundary mobility and energy is necessary. In this thesis both parameters were measured for the perovskite model system SrTiO3 as a function of temperature and atmosphere.
