Husserl's studies on inner time consciousness represent crucial steps, both factually and historically, in the chronological development towards the foundation of phenomenology. In addition to the famous first edition of the text of the lectures on the phenomenology of inner time consciousness, edited by Edith Stein and published by Martin Heidegger in 1928 in the Yearbook for Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, the texts gathered here from the original manuscripts of the estate, covering the years 1893 to 1917, provide the opportunity to methodically trace Husserl's progress in the analysis of time consciousness with utmost rigor. Unlike the first edition of these texts in the Philosophical Library from 1985, which was limited to presenting the edited texts from the estate, this new edition also includes the work by Edith Stein.
