The book deals with the life concepts of same-sex couples living with children. In addition to the current state of research and the legal foundations that frame the topic, it provides an overview of the current political and social discourse, which culminates in a smaller empirical study conducted as part of a bachelor's thesis in Dortmund. Alongside the individual topics of family life for same-sex couples with children, an overview is outlined that generates knowledge about family formation, daily family life, and psychosocial conditions. A total of six interviews were conducted with same-sex couples living with children in Dortmund. The central question is how family life is shaped for same-sex couples.
