Graduate studies are currently trending, not least due to numerous pressing questions related to higher education and labor market policies, such as the following: Does higher education meet professional requirements? What is the relationship between the supply of graduates and the demand in the labor market? In Saxony, the first state-wide graduate study was entrusted to a renowned institute, the Saxon Competence Center for Education and Higher Education Planning, and the results of the study were personally presented to the press by the Saxon State Minister for Science and the Arts, Prof. Sabine von Schorlemer. This highlights the significance attributed to the first Saxon graduate study. Such studies serve universities, among other purposes, to gain an overview of their graduates and their career paths, as well as feedback on the quality of education.
