2. Carus chorissimo! blue. Schulchorbuch für gleiche Stimmen

For every children's and youth choir, the transition from unison to multi-part singing is an exciting process. "Chorissimo! Blue," the new unison volume from the successful choir series Chorissimo!, accompanies and supports this journey with a comprehensive, carefully selected, and stylistically diverse repertoire of pieces, as well as versatile practical materials that include playback and audio CDs, as well as a video DVD. The curriculum-structured volume guides singers through six steps from unison singing to canons and quodlibets, leading to homophonic and polyphonic two- and three-part singing, making it ideal for music education in lower secondary schools. Various workshops, some illustrated through videos, focus on specific aspects of choir work, such as beatboxing or warm-ups. All titles come with piano accompaniment, and some pieces can also be accompanied by additional instruments or band arrangements, for which flexible vocal scores are available. New, attractive opportunities for rehearsing are provided by a website with mp3 files of the individual parts. The small BASIC set offers extensive material for use in music classes: the choir director's book with piano accompaniment for all songs, a separate piano book, and two playback CDs. For concert performances, a larger PREMIUM set with a more extensive arrangement is available.

4. Carus Chorissimo

Chorissimo is a comprehensive collection of materials for young choirs, centered around the choir book "Chorissimo," which contains 164 choral pieces. This choir book serves as the foundation of a concept that aligns with the current choir situation in terms of repertoire selection and instrumentation, allowing almost all pieces to be performed with just one male voice. The stylistic range spans from pieces of old vocal polyphony to more contemporary choral music. Overall, Chorissimo does not merely offer standard repertoire but sets benchmarks for demanding choral work in schools and beyond. It has been developed in collaboration with the State Academy for the Musically Active Youth in Baden-Württemberg and commissioned by the Association of German School Musicians.
