We use it to print appointment cards for a practice via the practice software. Unfortunately via the intermediate step of a PDF. We had to fiddle around a bit until the format was right, but now it works very well. The printer is recognised normally in the system.

It also works without the Brother software, but can be a little more complex.

You can select the printer via the print menu like any other printer.

On the Mac, I use database software from a different manufacturer!
The effort may be somewhat greater under certain circumstances.
