I am a little unsure why the price is different between the ScanSnap iX1600 and the ScanSnap iX2500. Why is the ScanSnap iX1600 more expensive than the iX2500 when the iX2500 is the newer model? Does this mean that the ScanSnap iX1600 is better than the iX2500? Which device would you recommend I order?

The ScanSnap iX2500 is the better, newer and more powerful model. It is officially the successor to the iX1600. The ScanSnap iX2500 is more recommendable for the following reasons:

- noticeably faster
- significantly larger ADF capacity
- better display
- more secure & modern WLAN technology
- official successor to the iX1600
- optimised for future updates
