The Braun alarm clock is set and controlled automatically by the DCF (EU) radio signal. The DCF radio time code signal is broadcast from Frankfurt, Germany, and the coverage of the DCF signal extends throughout Germany. The time code signal can be received up to 1500 km from Frankfurt, covering most of Central and Western Europe, including France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, and Northern Italy.
