Georg Jensen - Seasonal Christmas Tree Topper Ice Flower 2020

This year, Danish-born Sanne Lund Traberg has joined the renowned list of designers who have created Georg Jensen's annual Christmas collectibles. Her mobiles and decorations are inspired by winter plants from her own garden. The results of her work not only relate to nature, which is so essential to true Scandinavian design, but also to the floral photography of Karl Blossfeldt and the Art Nouveau style, both of which are a significant part of Georg Jensen's heritage.

Inspiration and Design Process

The Christmas collectibles for 2020 are based on the theme of ice flowers. The inspiration for the collection comes from the natural form structures and the artistic style of Art Nouveau from the turn of the 18th century to the mid-19th century.
