The Aalto vase was designed in 1936 and presented for the first time at the Paris World Exhibition the following year. Its flowing, organic shape is still mouth-blown at the Iittala factory today. It takes a team of seven highly experienced craftsmen to produce a single Aalto vase - an icon of modern design.
