While the lampshade appears as a reflector in a balanced hemisphere, the slender shaft leads to a classically flat, round base. The latter houses the battery and its connection for charging. A striking feature of the battery lamp is the T-shaped handle placed at the very top of the shade, which is comfortable to carry and place indoors as well as outdoors.
