The display of the TFA Dostmann projection clock (model 60.5016.01) can be adjusted so that the backlight and projection do not have to be constantly lit. - The projection and display lighting can be set to two brightness levels or switched off completely. - If the device is powered by batteries alone, the projection and display lighting can only be activated for a few seconds at the touch of a button. With the mains adapter, the projection can be activated permanently and the brightness can be adjusted. This allows you to set the device so that the display is not permanently illuminated and you only use the projection function.

Yes, the focus can be adjusted on the rotary knob of the projector section. The digital display can be switched off completely, as can the projection. Good device. I would buy again.

You can rotate the unit with the projection beam completely around a horizontal axis and in addition you can also tilt the image 180°. Very well done. So at least you can project the image onto the wall behind the alarm clock, but not to the left of the alarm clock (rotate around the vertical axis must the alarm clock itself).
