For classic Frisian tea, one first adds a piece of rock sugar to the cup and slowly pours hot black tea over it, causing it to crackle. Then, one gently adds a dollop of cream, which swirls cloud-like in the drink, making it wonderfully observable in the flat and wide-open top. The finished East Frisian tea is never stirred, allowing one to gradually taste the creamy cream, the bitter tea, and the sweet rock sugar. Until the latter has completely dissolved, one can leisurely enjoy three cups. Of course, with these elegant northern cups, one can also celebrate the traditional English "Afternoon Tea" and indulge in a stylish break with their favorite herbal or fruit tea at any time of the day.
