Frederic Gooris was inspired by the Virgula Divina, Latin for a Y-shaped divining rod. This unmistakable fortune-telling instrument, which is meant to aid in the search for oil, water, or gold, is recognizable not only by its name but also by the shape of the rods. The art of rhabdomancy inspired Frédéric Gooris in the design of his bottle opener, which recalls the mysterious rod in both form and name. The design object is slightly angled, making it easier to open a bottle. The 18/10 stainless steel features a PVD coating for exceptional durability and increased resistance.
