The climate sensor for indoor climate not only measures and reports climate data to the Homematic IP app but can also be used to regulate room temperature. The sensor enables comfortable heating control in conjunction with one or more Homematic IP radiator thermostats or Homematic IP underfloor heating controllers via the Homematic IP app. Through the Home Control Access Point of the Homematic IP system, the sensor can also be operated within a Homematic home control system via its central unit, as well as with many partner solutions.

It measures temperature (5 to 35 °C) and humidity (1 to 99%) indoors. Time-controlled regulation of room temperature is possible in conjunction with Homematic IP underfloor heating controllers or Homematic IP radiator thermostats. Installation is flexible and easy using the included adhesive strips or screws. The sensor can be integrated into multi-frame or 55mm frames from other manufacturers (Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung).

The battery life typically lasts for 2 years. Operation requires connection to one of the following solutions: Homematic IP Access Point with a free smartphone app and free cloud service, CCU3 central unit with a local user interface WebUI, radio modules for Raspberry Pi, or third-party partner solutions. Additional functions when operating via the Smart Home central unit CCU3 are possible. Direct connections to Homematic IP remote controls and wall switches are also possible. For example, you can switch between comfort and eco heating temperatures using a Homematic IP wall switch or turn the lighting and heating on and off simultaneously with a button press.
