The robust wireless weather sensor captures all relevant weather data and transmits it wirelessly, allowing you to have an overview of the current weather at any time through the Homematic IP app. The weather data is displayed in the app when operated via the Homematic IP Access Point, but it can also be linked with other Homematic IP components, such as heating and air conditioning controls or roller shutter and awning controls. For example, you can automate your awning: it can extend automatically for shading in sunny weather or retract automatically in strong winds.

The weather sensor measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, brightness (relative), and sunshine duration. The collected weather data is displayed through the Homematic IP app. It can be flexibly installed due to its wireless and battery operation and is easy to mount with a robust stainless steel mast (the mast consists of three parts, with a total length of 1580 mm and a diameter of 25 mm).

The measurement range for temperature is from -20 °C to +55 °C with a high accuracy of typically ±0.3 °C (at 0 to 55 °C). The measurement range for humidity is from 0 to 99 % rH with a high accuracy of typically ±3 % (at 20 to 80 % rH). The measurement range for brightness (relative) is from 0 to 100,000. Wind speed can be measured from 0 to 200 km/h.

The sensor offers a high wireless range of up to 400 m (in open field) and a long battery life of typically 2 years. It is compatible with the Homematic IP Access Point and the Homematic Central CCU2/Smart Home Central CCU3.

The entire solution and individual devices are intuitively set up via a smartphone app for iOS and Android and can then be configured individually. Operation is possible via the app or directly on the device itself. Voice control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant is available. Additionally, users can comfortably integrate up to five Philips Hue lamps or lights into their existing Homematic IP Smart Home.
