The usual "up" and "down" variations in the height of glasses, which can appear messy, should not disrupt an elegantly arranged table. Therefore, Alfredo Häberli designed the bases and stems of the glasses to be the same length. Even the proportions of the bowls are similar: the red wine glass has a consistently wider bowl diameter than the white wine glass, which Häberli designed to be just slightly wider than the typical champagne flute.
