The activated carbon pre-filter not only captures odors and gases but also provides the first barrier against dust and pet hair. This fleece must be replaced on the drum of the HEPA filter. To achieve the best results, replace the activated carbon filter every 3 months. The air purifier's indicator light shows when the filter needs to be changed.
