I wonder how much DECT radio signal these things need to work. The FritzBox is in the basement, the signal has to go up to the second floor through three thick ceilings. It's not enough to make phone calls on the second floor. WiFi is available everywhere via cable and three access points. The alternative would be a DECT repeater (just Schuko with adapter), which I have seen. I also have a second FritzBox that could possibly take over.

Hello phogenkamp I would give preference to the FRitzBox, provided it really has DECT and only serves as a stupid repeater (configuration always in the first FRitzBox). If necessary email AVM for competent support. N.B. DECT repeater, Schuko: Somewhere I read Euro plug!

Can the part also be used with the floor heating distributor and controlled with the FRITZ!DECT 440?

Yes, I use the Fritz!Dect 301 for our underfloor heating system, integrated into a Fritz!Dect 440 sensor and connected to the Fritz!Box 7490 router. Everything works. Just bear in mind that the floor heating system reacts sluggishly and with a delay of up to a few hours.

Does anyone know of any Fritz-compatible DECT repeaters? Since AVM doesn't seem to think it's necessary to offer a DECT repeater that can be used in CH, I now regret my purchase, even though the 301s are actually great. But since one of my heating controllers keeps losing the connection because it is relatively far away from the box, there is a lot of resentment, holiday switching, at least to the controller in question, becomes a lottery. I just don't understand AVM here, no switchable sockets, DECT repeaters and powerful powerline products for the CH. I regret my decision to go with AVM...

With the Fritz OS, the heating thermostat can be controlled remotely, but is it also possible to geo-block the Fritz app so that my radiator rod automatically turns warmer when I return to the vicinity of my flat?

According to the information I could find on avm, the MyFRITZ! app does not have such a function. However, I would advise you to contact avm directly if you want to know more detailed information.

There are a lot of complaints on Amazon that these things restart sporadically - and that's why they only get 1 star in the rating. Does anyone else have these problems?
