At least at Galaxus I haven't seen the 44m2 in white.
Hi, no the filter is static, you need to clean it from time to time (submerge in water) and it will slightly change color after some use (you can buy replacement filters).
That's how it is with us too. Put it in tap water for 1 hour, then it's white again.

The selected HU4813 unit has a higher humidification capacity and can be used in larger rooms. In comparison: The black unit can be used in rooms up to 44 m2 and manages up to 300 ml per hour. The HU4803 does about 220 ml per hour and can humidify up to 25 m2. These are the main differences between the two units.
