A square waffle shape is included as well as a sandwich tray for triangular sandwiches. The problem with this is that by cutting the sandwiches into triangles at an angle, the space for the filling is extremely limited. So more than one slice of ham and one slice of cheese won't fit.
Tip: The shell-shaped troughs are much better. This way you can also put filling in the middle of the bread slices, and the bread is only "welded together at the edge to form a perfect pocket" like a ravioli. Ideal for e.g. mushroom ragout, pasta sauce from the day before etc.

The non-stick coating of the plates contains PTFE, but is PFOA-free, as Tefal states for its non-toxic coatings. Tefal confirms that PTFE is harmless to health and is recognised as inert by the authorities.

The images are series images for visualisation purposes and, as usual in online shops, do not always show the scope of delivery. The supplier has confirmed that 2 plates are included.

We used the big toast (American) from Lidl, but the smaller ones from Migros, both work very well.

Yes, it is quite strict, although I and the older children ( teenagers) can handle it if the toast is not too thick, but otherwise we have been very happy with it for almost 2 years.

From my experience, it is normal for these units to still smoke, due to production and materials. I plugged the appliance in on the balcony for 10 minutes and let it smoke out. This is also done with new Teflon pans; I always boil the pans with water first and then clean them before using them for the first time. So also with this appliance (simply dry, without water) and this with all inserts! Afterwards, clean with a rinsing agent. I'm not sure now, but I'm sure it says something like that in the instructions.
It takes about 5 minutes. Depending on the tan.
If I remember correctly, it's a normal CH plug or it comes with an adapter. In any case, no problem for CH sockets.

Hello, it comes with 2 sets of plates, those for croques monsieur and those for waffles.
There are also a number of optional plates for paninis, bagels, French toast, pancakes, doughnuts, donuts, pancakes .....

Very simple, you can wipe it off with a dry cloth. Hard stains from cheese also go away without a problem.

I always take the large XXL discs and it works perfectly. It's a great appliance that we use regularly.
