The machine comes with four sets of plates: for waffles, sandwiches/croque-monsieur, paninis and mini-bouchées. Each set of plates is removable, non-stick coated and dishwasher safe.
The images are series images for visualisation purposes and, as usual in online shops, do not always show the scope of delivery. The supplier has confirmed that 2 plates are included.

When you heat it up, the mozzarella will melt and the whole thing will settle a little ...
You can make other recipes with this griddle, such as patties.
I have just seen that the total weight of the package is heavier than on the other 2 models, which makes me think that it is indeed a model including 4 plates.
I assume that due to the pandemic, the accessory plates are very popular. However, there is a more expensive version here that already contains 3 plates and this would currently be available.
Yes, it is quite strict, although I and the older children ( teenagers) can handle it if the toast is not too thick, but otherwise we have been very happy with it for almost 2 years.
A square waffle shape is included as well as a sandwich tray for triangular sandwiches. The problem with this is that by cutting the sandwiches into triangles at an angle, the space for the filling is extremely limited. So more than one slice of ham and one slice of cheese won't fit.
Tip: The shell-shaped troughs are much better. This way you can also put filling in the middle of the bread slices, and the bread is only "welded together at the edge to form a perfect pocket" like a ravioli. Ideal for e.g. mushroom ragout, pasta sauce from the day before etc.
For Galaxus/Digitec: Frankly, since Digitec, it hasn't been great. With Galaxus, there was no problem when you wanted quick information, the chat was in good working order and the staff were friendly. Now, and I've tried this several times, your chat is out of order. If customers aren't your primary interest, say so. If you have a specific question that isn't in the FAQ section, you're directing us to the "Community", whether we like it or not.
For the information I need, I only have information that dates back 6 years and your description is rather nebulous, especially for a mail order site.
As far as I'm concerned, I need to know the exact contents of the parcel as regards the plates delivered because, as I want to order others, I don't want to be obliged to send them back to you if I have a duplicate. As the community information dates back 6 years, I would like it to be confirmed: 1 plate for large waffles and another for triangular sandwiches? Plus CH power cord?
We did some research and came up with the following data: "Sets of plates included for sandwiches and waffles". In addition, an adapter should be supplied as standard (https://www.galaxus.ch/fr/s4/product/max-hauri-adaptateur-de-prise-de-courant-adaptateur-electrique-6154968).
As far as the online chat is concerned, it seems to be working normally; our staff are dealing with requests via this channel as we speak.

From my experience, it is normal for these units to still smoke, due to production and materials. I plugged the appliance in on the balcony for 10 minutes and let it smoke out. This is also done with new Teflon pans; I always boil the pans with water first and then clean them before using them for the first time. So also with this appliance (simply dry, without water) and this with all inserts! Afterwards, clean with a rinsing agent. I'm not sure now, but I'm sure it says something like that in the instructions.
