The WMF frying pan 28 cm is made in China, even if some product images still say "Made in Germany". These photos are from older series. Current batches are made in China, but the quality and material (Cromargan stainless steel) remain the same.

Really nickel-free?

The pan is made of Cromargan® 18/10, a stainless steel alloy with a nickel content of approx. 10 %. It is therefore not nickel-free. Thank you very much for letting us know. We have submitted a correction request.

Helpful answer
This stainless steel frying pan is ideal for preparing dishes that require good heat distribution, such as meat or vegetables. It is compatible with all hobs, including induction. In terms of resistance to acidic sauces, stainless steel is generally robust, but it is advisable to avoid prolonged contact with acidic ingredients to preserve the pan's durability. It is best to gradually increase the heat to prevent the contents from sticking or burning, especially if there is no fat. As far as maintenance is concerned, we recommend using a non-abrasive sponge and a mild detergent to clean the inside of the pan, as it does not have a non-stick coating.

Where is the pan made?

After some research, it seems that the cutlery offered by WMF is currently made in Germany. However, the pots and pans appear to be made in China or Vietnam at the time of writing.
