The lid sits well on the casserole and acts as an energy monitor: as soon as the lid starts to rattle, it is time to reduce the heat and thus save electricity. Depending on the cooker, you can switch off completely about 5 minutes before the end of cooking, as enamel retains heat for a long time. Therefore, we highly recommend using potholders to lift the pots and lids, as the enamel handles also retain heat. The advantage of the enamel handles, however, is that you can also safely put the pot in the oven to keep it warm. The rim of the casserole has a robust chrome rim. In addition to casseroles, there are also high meat pots, saucepans with spouts and saucepans with spouts.
