Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938. Its unique structure makes the yarn excellent for knitting sweaters. Peer Gynt is still as popular today as it was back then. In autumn 2022, we launched a thinner version of the exact same yarn with the same great properties. Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light and warm. After each wear, they become even softer. Norwegian wool is durable and resistant to pilling, ensuring that garments always look good and retain their shape for a long time. Consider the environment: wool is breathable and rarely needs washing. Instead, we recommend airing out the garment. Norwegian wool garments have a long lifespan and maintain their beauty over generations. This means that Norwegian wool contributes to sustainable consumption. The same fiber is used for both Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt, produced in different thicknesses – Tynn Peer Gynt is 3-ply twisted, while Peer Gynt is 4-ply. For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool items separately on the wool wash program to treat them as gently as possible. Spin gently and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted items in a laundry net, as this creates friction that can lead to felting.
