Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938. Its unique structure makes the yarn excellent for knitting sweaters. Peer Gynt is still as popular today as it was back then. In the fall of 2022, we launched a thinner version of the exact same yarn with the same great properties. Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light and warm. With each wear, they become even softer. Norwegian wool is durable and resistant to pilling. It ensures that the garments always look good and maintain their shape for a long time. Consider the environment: wool is breathable and rarely needs washing. Instead, we recommend airing out the garment well. Norwegian wool garments have a long lifespan and retain their beauty over generations. This means that Norwegian wool contributes to sustainable consumption.

For Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt, the same fiber is used and produced in different thicknesses – Tynn Peer Gynt is 3-ply twisted, while Peer Gynt is 4-ply.

Origin of the wool: Norway

• Yardage: approximately 205 meters per 50 grams

• Recommended needle size: knitting needle No. 3

• Gauge: 27 stitches = 10 cm

Note: For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool items separately on the wool wash program to treat them as gently as possible. Spin gently and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted items in a laundry net/wash bag, as this can cause friction that may lead to felting.
