The blades of the Wüsthof Performer series are made from a single piece of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15), are laser-etched on both sides, and are then coated with DLC (Diamond-Like-Carbon). This diamond-like carbon layer gives the knives a surface hardness of 104 Rockwell and is ultra-hard. Thanks to the lotus effect, the knife blade glides effortlessly through any food. A standout feature is the unique and striking representation of the trident logo on the 20 cm long and 4.7 cm wide blade.

The DLC coating (Diamond-Like-Carbon), an amorphous carbon layer, is three times harder than steel. It is resistant to acids, alkalis, and high temperatures. This carbon layer makes the Wüsthof Performer knife resistant, extremely scratch-resistant, and durable.

The high-quality handle material of the Performer knives is made from glass-fiber reinforced polyamide, and thanks to the non-slip Hexagon Power Grip, the knife sits securely and comfortably in the hand.
