2470 watts power consumption. Can this appliance be operated on a 10 amp fuse?

Helpful answer

Since power = voltage * current (P = U * I), a fuse over 10 amperes could only deliver 2300 watts.
Conclusion: it will be tight, rather not!

This is likely to be tight - even if the voltage today is 240V. But you can legally increase your fuse from 10A to 13A. As long as you don't need the 13A for hours on end, you can do this with the 1.5mm2 cross-section cables and the T13 sockets that you should already have installed for the 10A.
