Can the rechaud also be used for the cast iron pot for cheese fondue? Thanks for the info.

Since it is an electric hob, this is theoretically possible, but you can see in the pictures that the support surface has an edge.

If your cast iron pot is larger than 23 cm in diameter, it will probably only have contact with the heating plate on the edges and will probably not be very efficient.
