Does the S5 Max light up when charging/in the docking station? I would have to keep the cradle next to my bed and if there was something flashing/lighting up forever at night, that would be a no-go for me. What about noise during charging? Is it buzzing or something similar?

Only when charging. But nothing is loud.

Yes, it has two status fields that light up white, you could also mask them off. I have not heard any noises.
