Googel Assistant Fix In order to integrate the device into the Googel eco system, googel must be linked to the Smartmi Family account and not to Mi Home. Same account info as Mi Home. Nothing needs to be re-registered.

The Venti only supports 2.4 GHz wifi and the security has to be changed to WPA2-PSK (connect box upc) for the Venti to connect. Thanks also for the tip about connecting with Smartmi Family - it is described incorrectly in the Xiaomi Mi Home app.
