Hello, can you make a dough that is thin enough to make tortellini? And is the most expensive model the one with the most different tips?
Hello. I don't know if it is possible to make tortellini, but the machine is great. It is important to respect the doses of semolina or flour: at least 201 grams, and maximum 499 grams otherwise the machine does not give the volume of liquid to add.
Personally I prefer semolina. I generally don't add egg. I love adding a little pepper to the semolina. It's also fun to add a little spinach juice, which gives the pasta a nice green colour. But not too much, otherwise it looks like you're eating spinach! Tomato sauce for pink pasta, or...
Washing: the easiest way to do this is to remove the large remains of the pasta after making it and let the rest dry. Then it falls out by itself.
Hello, this is the machine with the most different attachments. For tortellini, yes and no... It is possible but I only recommend it for large tortellini, the dough being a bit too thick. Nothing is better than a dough with the manual machine. The dough is not as wide, so the standard moulds don't fit, but no problem if you close the edges with a fork. Otherwise this machine is very good, just don't wash the lid in the machine as it cracks. Philips customer service sent us back a lid free of charge.
Hello, yes it is the model with 8 dies. The lasagna die is thinner than the previous model, but I haven't tested it yet. I think it should be fine for tortellini anyway. I like this machine and for my part I make a mixture of flour and durum wheat semolina with egg. It's really worth it at this price.
