How often is there an automatic rinse cycle (water dispensed for cleaning)? When switching on? After every coffee? Can the automatic rinsing process be set (switched off)?

Water is expelled when you turn it on and also a smaller amount when you turn it off (it automatically turns off after not having been used for a while). We bought it a few years ago but unless something has changed since you are unable to turn off the rinse cycles.
