When I asked Kibernetik, they told me that models with a mechanical hydrostat switch off completely and models with a digital hydrostat keep the fan running.

I have had a Kibernetik M20 in operation in my basement/laundry room for some time (approx. 2 years). Controlled by a simple time switch, the unit runs from 23:00 to 05:00 (night power). When the set humidity is reached, the unit switches off. The hose connection eliminates the need to empty the water tank. Highly recommended.
