I have also ground tree nuts with it. I think it can handle pretty much anything. The question I have is how long the knives will last and blunt. So far I haven't noticed any wear.

I think so, I make my own energy bars from nuts and dried fruit from time to time.
It works quite well, but I don't know how stable the food processor really is.
But so far it has held up =)
