My device sometimes makes a damn strange noise right after switching on and sometimes only after hours, it sounds like the dial-up of a 56K modem in terms of type, but otherwise more like a coil whine of graphics cards, do your devices do this too? 0.o

Yes, mine too, sounds almost like a car horn and is a real pain in the ass. Does it help to oil the device?

I had the same problem, but it was caused by the motor for the rotation function. It was probably caused by a not quite level surface, which made the fan stand at an angle and the motor had to overcome more resistance.
I put something under one side and it was quiet afterwards.
