The unit has become wet. And the screen no longer turns on. Does anyone know the problem. What can be done?

I had the same problem. I took the device apart and dried the wet parts. I soaked the wet display in rice for 6 weeks (it was also a "surefire" hack). Then I screwed everything together. And it was still defective :-) Unfortunately, it didn't work. Maybe you'll have more luck. Good luck!

You can try cyberbull's answer.
Drying usually works very well. What is a problem, however, is if the unit has become wet during operation or if you try to switch it on too soon.
Electronics and water are usually not compatible.
Sorry for the bad news EA658

Try this hack, I was once able to save a smartphone that had fallen into the water: fill Tupperware (or any other airtight box) with raw rice and bury the screen in it. Wait 2-3 days and then see if the display works again. If you had it connected to the power supply when it was wet, there is a risk that something was damaged by a short circuit.
