Unfortunately, I have ordered the new digital dehumidifier and am disappointed that the fan runs for 24 hours although the room has already reached the humidity level. Unfortunately, this is not useful for my desired needs. That's a whopping 30 watts per hour and 720 watts per day. Many would say that you could connect the unit to a timer. Yes, you could, but it's not what I need. Since I already own an identical, but "mechanical" predecessor model, which switches off the fan when the humidity level is reached, one naturally thinks that the new model works in exactly the same way. This is a huge step backwards in terms of energy efficiency! This means unnecessary electricity costs of 50 francs per year at 20 centimes per KW/h. The manufacturer should definitely revise this. The manufacturer should definitely revise this.

I have the same model. When the unit has reached the desired humidity, the compressor switches off the condenser and only the fan runs. It has to do this because it has to circulate the air, so it can also measure whether it has to dehumidify again.
