together: Mount it to the base with 8 screws, mount the light bracket with 2 more screws, attach the number plate, slide in the plastic wheel carriers, attach the carrier to the tow ball without needing any tools, and you're ready to go. Attaching to the car: When you first put the Buzzracer 4 on the tow ball, it supports itself - you can let it go and it won't fall to the ground. Then you take the weight back on, turn the locking knob until it is tight and lock it in place. Buzzracer carriers meet the very demanding XPR-18-904-4 standard and therefore have an anti-sway tensioner, this has an integrated handle and 2 to 3 turns are usually enough.
The Buzzracer 4 comes with a 7-pin lighting system. A 7-pin to 13-pin adapter is not included but can be purchased as an option. (3 function 7 pin flat plug for AUS/NZ)
The Buzzracer 4 tilts easily and is very well balanced even when fully loaded. The Buzzracer 4 sits quite high on the tow ball, and the tipping function is optimised so that the lights do not hit the road, but the weight of the bikes is still used to bring the bike platform back to level in a controlled manner. However, this geometry does not allow high, vertical tailgates to be opened - e.g. VW Transporter T5 and T6.
The wheel holders accommodate all wheelbases, including small children's bikes. You can turn the wheel holders around for the really small bikes. The Buzzracer 4 is quite suitable for carbon frame bikes, the rubber padded bike frame holders rotate 360 degrees and, also with rubber padded straps, hold any type of frame firmly but gently. There is a built-in locking cable to secure your bikes, as usual with cable locks, it is only a deterrent.
